Guyabano (soursop)
Known as soursop, it is more often called guyabano in the Philippines (from Spanish guanábana). Another of the many fruits native to Latin America and having arrived in the Phillipines a few centuries ago during that era of globalisation. The fruit has unusual looks and an unusual, aromatic flavour. Some really like it, some don’t. Eaten raw (ripe) or in juices, smoothies, ice cream.
